Single AND Fabulous!

Today I went on my facebook page, and not one, not two, but THREE more of my friends status changed from in a relationship to "engaged."  It's strange, but the only emotional reaction I felt was, "I wonder what I'm going to have for dinner." And then something struck me, Tiffany, you're 26 years old...all of your friends are getting engaged, and you don't care??? I thought about it for a bit longer and realized, it's not that I don't care...I'd love to be engaged, I'd love to never go on a date ever again and talk about all my accomplishments and go through my dating resume in order to charm my date as I would for a new job.  I then realized, that I wasn't the only one in this position. There are plenty of smart, good looking (hey, I'm not being conceided but I know I don't look that bad) individuals who want to meet someone, but either don't want to meet someone in a bar, or have had some unspeakable online dating stories. Regardless, I set out to form a fun networking site where people my age could hang out with one another with no strings attached. Single and Fabulous Miami is not a dating service. It's provides a forum for single and fabulous individuals to meet, in a fun festive atmosphere (free food & drinks - DUAH!) and then if you meet someone who you think is just as fabulous as you are, exchange numbers and take it from there! Obviously, the Single & Fabulous Miami staff is there to help make some introductions for those on the more "shy" (but still fabulous) side, but all in all, I just set out to create something that wasn't an end all and be all to the dating world, but also wasn't another depressing night where everyone you meet ends up having a ring or not speaking your language - literally....So stay tuned for more information on our first "Single & Fabulous Miami Mixer" set to take place the second week in December!
